COVID-19 Statement

 

On behalf of everyone at Shield Foods (UK) Ltd, our thoughts go out to all those impacted by COVID-19 – this includes not only those that may have been diagnosed with the virus, but also their friends and family, those whose jobs have or will be impacted and so many more. Our focus is, as always, on the health and well-being of our employees and our customers.
The situation is changing rapidly, and to do our part in slowing the spread of the virus, we have decided to temporarily close our premises, with our last delivery day being Friday 20th March 2020. The duration of this closure will be monitored regularly, and frequently reviewed based on government advice.

However, customer service is the ethos of Shield Foods and until the government says otherwise, we understand that some of our clients may remain open. We will therefore consider running a once-per-week operation on Thursdays only, with extremely limited staff, where we will endeavour to process and deliver orders for frozen seafood only, subject to 48 hours of notice and a reasonable order to ensure it is economically viable; we will then confirm on the Wednesday each week if we can deliver on the Thursday. All orders must be placed via email, to orders@shieldfoods.com. This is of course subject to review, depending on any further government direction.

There is no question this is a time of great uncertainty. While we don’t know exactly what the future may hold, we feel confident that by sticking together and supporting each other, we’ll emerge from this stronger than before.
